Our components for the Flash Mob no 2

Our strategy for the Flash mob no 2: Moving Paths

Flash Mob No 2 : The Moving Path

What does light in a dark space mean to you?  Is it a guide taking you through the darkness?

For this flash mob we are using plastic coca bottles to make a structure which resembles lanterns.  In our strategy we are going to use these lanterns to indicate the alternate unused public circulation paths. We will also use it to connect unused spaces together.

The flash is at 7 PM at MGF Metropolitan Mall today. However please assemble at 6:30 PM so that we can prepare and organize.

COMPONENT-  sqaures made out of toothpicks
in reality thought of making this structure out of bamboo and rope.

AIM-  to create an arch
.
PLACEMENT- each square is stacked on top of each other with a slight bend towards right handside so as to give it a form of arch.

PROBLEMS- raw material was expensive.
not able to find ways of interacting with public. structure would have lost its dynamism in 15 mins.

COMPONENT- straw and paper ( used cartridge sheets or ivory sheets)
four equilateral triangles of side 10 inch.
length of straw- variable
size of the model in photo 1:2

AIM- to achieve the arch shape which appears to go in the ground and come out.
will be put up in green patches in front of mgf metropolitan mall.

INTERACTION WITH AUDIENCE- after putting up this structure we will paint it with different colours and hope that the audience too will join in.

experiment 3 -heritage city

ok , so here we go for the third time in our full spirits to this society called "the heritage city" . as one of our friend suggested , this place had a huge patch which was not being used by anybody . as people are so confined to thier normal daily stereotypical lives that they dont really take time out for themselves , "why" is one word which can be very useful at times and considering urban gorillaz, its the best tool we have got. why is that space not being used to its full potential ???that one was question which struck everybody when we decided of taking up this place for our flash mob.

so we reached there at 6:00 in the evening we entered the target area from various different entrances, and looking at the condition of that area , there wasn't even a single person who was roaming around , nobody would dare walk on it . after sometime a person just walked by and after that it was the same again .

the area was surrounded by four building , and nobody was standing in the balcony to have a look of what was going on outside .

so we started with our flash mob. we started with 5 people making a human chain and running like a train engine with a sound of " cchuk cchuk" funny isnt it? ..yet effective ,as soon as we stopped doing that , we could see some people coming out and realizing that yes there is a life outside there four walls . so we continued doing it for 10 minutes and after 10 minutes we guys disbursed . that was just a trail . we did get some attention the first time. but we recieved a message saying we will be doing it again . so we went again , far more confident then before. started running in a circle saying "fire in the mountain run run run" then saying it in hindi . imagine saying something like that in hindi . this time there were alot of people standing in the balcony seeing what we were doing as if it was some sort of an entertainment initiated by there own welfare association , but we had to make a point and we made it . two kids were dancing with us , you know sometimes i think that kids are far more intelegent than their fellow parents , as they did catch our drift . so after ten minutes of the same excercise again we went back , some of us recorded the number of people who appeared . quite a few , i am sure , so with this we ended our third successful flashmob .
